Mutahida Deeni Mahaz

Mutahida Deeni Mahaz (Urdu: متحدہ دينی محاذ) is a political party that was formed in 2013 by Maulana Sami ul Haq, to participate in Pakistani general election, 2013.[1]

Maulana Sami ul Haq, is a Pakistani religious scholar and politician. He is known for his close ties to the Taliban and has been referred to as the "Father of the Taliban" and "Founder of the Taliban". He also is supported by banned terrorist organizations like Sipah-e-Sahaba and Taliban.[2][3] He is currently the chancellor of Darul Uloom Haqqania, a Deobandi Islamic seminary which is the alma mater of several Taliban leaders and has been recruiting soldiers for terrorist organizations through their Madarsas. He is the chairman of the Difa-e-Pakistan Council and is the leader of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam political party, known as JUI-S.[4] Sami ul-Haq was also a founding member of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal
