Music therapy for Alzheimer's disease

Music therapy (MT) has been used as a treatment for Alzheimer's disease (AD), but its use remains mostly uninvestigated.^[1] Results of studies investigating its effectiveness are promising, but further research is needed because these studies are of poor methodological quality.^[2] Further research is needed to determine the mechanisms by which it may work, and to "delineate the most effective techniques".^[3]
