Mott House is a historic residence constructed in 1844 in Columbus, Georgia. During the Battle of Columbus (1865), the last battle of the Civil War at Columbus, Georgia, the Mott house served as the headquarters of the Union General James H. Wilson. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.[1]

In 2013, a multimillion-dollar renovation of the Mott House began. In the early morning of September 7, 2014, the Mott House caught fire. After the fire subsided, it was determined to be a total loss. The only Antebellum riverfront mansion between Columbus and the Gulf Coast was no more.
