Moragodage Christopher Walter Pinto

Moragodage Christopher Walter Pinto (commonly known as Chris Pinto) is a Sri Lankan lawyer and diplomat. He was a member of the United Nations' International Law Commission and Secretary General of Iran-United States Claims Tribunal as well as a former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Swizerland. and the first Legal Adviser of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.[1]

Educated at the Royal College, Colombo, where he won the Steward Prize and were contemporaries of Gamini Seneviratne and Lal Jayawardena.[2]

He was married to Yasodha Neiliya Jayawardena, daughter of U. N. Jayawardena the former Governor of the Central Bank of Ceylon and their son Milinda Moragoda is a former Minister and Senior Adviser to President.
