Montanera is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) south of Turin and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) northeast of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 727 and an area of 11.1 square kilometres (4.3 sq mi).[1]
