Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi (Arabic: محمد جمعه الشامسي) or Capt. Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi is the CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, the master developer of ports and industrial zones in Abu Dhabi.

Upon taking up his role as Abu Dhabi Ports CEO in 2013, Al Shamisi served as a board member as well as chairman of Abu Dhabi Terminals.[1] Upon joining Abu Dhabi Ports in 2008, Al Shamisi was involved in the completion and operation of Phase 1 of Abu Dhabi's new container terminal, Khalifa Port.[2] In 2012, Al Shamisi was awarded 'Young Personality of the Year' at the Seatrade Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Awards.[3]

In July 2014, as part a decree reconstituting the board of directors of Etihad Airways, Al Shamisi was appointed as a board member for a renewable three year tenure by the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.[4]

Education

Al Shamisi has an MBA and Graduate Certificate of Management from the University of Tasmania, Australia. He is a qualified Master Mariner having attained an Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Shipmaster) from the Australian Maritime College.
