Mitch Murder
Mitch Murder is the pseudonym of Johan Bengtsson, an electronic / synthwave[1][2] musician from Stockholm, Sweden.[3] He released his first EP After Hours in 2009 [4] and the albums Current Events and Burning Chrome on the label Rosso Corsa Records 2010 and 2011.[5] He is inspired by "jazz, cheesy 50’s bossa nova, 70’s motown or 80’s pop", and has mentioned artists like Paul Hardcastle, Jan Hammer and Vince DiCola as being big influences.[6] He mainly works with the tracker program Renoise for music production.[7] He has released a number of EPs and albums, and also music for computer games and movies.[8] In 2014 he released his third album Interceptor on the Mad Decent label. [9][10] In 2013, he was contacted by director David Sandberg regarding the movie Kung Fury[11] where he is behind the majority of the music.[12] Prior to the movie's release, he released the single True Survivor with David Hasselhoff on vocals.[13][14] Both the music video and the movie went viral upon its releases, gaining considerable positive critical acclaim.[15][16]
