Mitch Garber (born September 5, 1964) is a Canadian born business executive.

Professional career

Mitch Garber is the CEO of Caesars Acquisition Company, a public company trading on Nasdaq (CACQ) which controls Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Las Vegas resorts; Planet Hollywood, Bally's, The Cromwell, The Linq Hotel, as well as Harrah's New Orleans, and the Horseshoe casino in Baltimore. He is also CEO of Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE), the private company he co-founded in 2009, and one of the largest and most profitable social and mobile game companies in the world.

He is the Chairman and part of the ownership group of the Cirque Du Soleil. [2]

From 2006-2008 Garber was CEO of London Stock Exchange listed online entertainment and gaming leader PartyGaming Plc.[3]

He was CEO of Optimal Payments Inc, (Nasdaq) from 2003-2006,[4] and held senior executive positions at Terra Payments Inc. (Toronto Stock Exchange) from 1999-2003.

He was a practicing lawyer from 1990-1999 specializing in gaming law. During that time he was also a television and radio sportscaster in Montreal.[5]

Education and other credits

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations from McGill University (1986) and a Law Degree from the University of Ottawa (1989).

In 2009, he was named one of the 10 most influential people in the gaming industry by Global Gaming Business magazine.[6] He has spoken on gaming and the internet in the British House of Lords, and has given expert testimony in the Canadian Senate, assisting in the shaping of gaming policy in Canada.[7]
