Missouri Conservationist

A horse-drawn wagon dumps a large cube of soil into the Mississippi River. The cube is labeled "One cubic mile of the richest top soil in the world." On top of the soil is an old top-hatted and bearded man with a shovel, labeled "Old Man Carelessness." A sign on the left shows the soil is on its way to the Gulf of Mexico. Also on the left are a group of men representing the U.S. Flood Commission, witnessing the dumping while another old top-hatted and bearded man is trying to get the group's attention by jumping up and down and pointing to the dump truck.
