Miss Universe 1956, the 5th Miss Universe pageant, was held on 20 July 1956 at the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium in Long Beach, California, USA. They had 30 young ladies in the competition. Miss USA 19-year-old Carol Morris won the competition, becoming the second American to win the Miss Universe competition and was crowned by Miss Universe 1955, Hillevi Rombin of Sweden.
