Miss United States pageant is a beauty contest held in the United States for unmarried women between the ages of 20-29. The pageant includes women selected to represent all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Marina Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the American Samoa.
The reigning Miss United States 2015 is Summer Priester of South Carolina, crowned on July 5, 2015 at the UDC Theater in Washington, DC. Former Miss United States Elizabeth Safrit represented the United States at Miss World 2014 in London, United Kingdom on December 14 where she placed as the 2nd Runner Up.
