Miss Nederland International

Miss Nederland International is a national beauty pageant which selects the national Dutch representative for the Miss International beauty pageant.

History

Netherlands began to compete at Miss International in 1960. The official candidate selected by Miss Holland winner or runner-up every year.

• In 1961 Miss Holland, Stam van Baer won the title of Miss International 1961 in Long Beach, California, United States.
• In 1960-1998 the representatives were selected by Runner-up of Miss Holland Contest.
• In 2002-2008 no national franchise of Miss International in the Netherlands.
• Since 2009 Miss Nederland International selects candidate from casting or appointing.

The current titleholder of 2014 is Shauny Bult of Boxtel.^[1]

• In 2011 Roline Hund competed at Miss Supranational 2011 but failed to get the crown.
• In 2012 Nathalie den Dekker was appointed to represent Netherlands at Miss Universe and Miss World pageant. She placed in the Top 15 at Miss World pageant. She competed also at the Miss Supranational 2010 and failed to get the crown.
• In 2012 Shauny Bult competed at Miss Earth 2012 but failed to get a crown.
