"Mirror in the Bathroom" is a single by British ska band The Beat, released as a single in 1980 from their debut album, I Just Can't Stop It (1980). It reached #4 in the UK charts and consequently was their biggest selling single/highest charting release in the UK until 1983. It was also their highest charting original single. It was released again in 1995 as a CD single (Remix EP) to promote b.p.m.: The Very Best of the Beat (1996). The single featured #44 in 1995. That same album also features four remixes of the song on CD2 (m.p.b.m.): These are "Dub in the Bathroom", "Just Can't Stop the Dub", Mark 'Spike' Stent Remix, and Tic Tac Toe remix.

The original version also features on the albums What is Beat? (1983), What is the English Beat? (1983), b.p.m.: The Very Best of the Beat (1996), Beat This! The Best of the Beat (2000), various artists release Rude Boy Revival (2002), The Platinum Collection (2006) and You Just Can't Beat It: The Best of the Beat (2008). It was also included on two eclectic DJ-mixed albums: Tricky's instalment of the Back to Mine series and the first of Ninja Tune's Solid Steel albums. The song is still played live by the band regularly.

The single was re-released on 21 April 2012 for Record Store Day 2012 as a limited edition 750 run of 7" copies. Its B-side is "Too Nice to Talk to".[1]

The song has also been recorded for the 1987 film Someone to Watch Over Me, by a project called Fifi.
