Michael Morgan Donehey(born September 30, 1981)[1] is an American singer and guitarist primarily known for his work in the Christian rock band Tenth Avenue North.[2]

Early life

Donehey was born to parents Dan and Sharon Donehey in Omaha, NE in 1981.[1] After a near-fatal car accident where he was told he would never walk again, Donehey picked up a guitar during his days in the hospital and began to write music.[2] He miraculously recovered and moved to Florida to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University where Tenth Avenue North was formed.[3]

Musical Work

Donehey has been with Tenth Avenue North since 2002 and continues to write and perform on tour and in the studio. He also regularly contributes to fellow Christian musicians' work with performances on recent records from Hawk Nelson,[4] Lecrae, and Jars of Clay, among others. After producing four successful albums under Provident, Donehey is busy at work on the band's next record slated for 2016.
