Website Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM

The Microsoft Lumia 540 is a Microsoft Lumia Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone with 1 GB of RAM released in European, exclusively for the Italian market, Indian, Middle Eastern, African, and Asian Pacific markets.[3] Other internal specifications are similar to earlier devices in the Lumia 5xx series.[4]

Due to the newness of the product, it is the only compatible Lumia device (running Windows Phone 8 or 8.1, as Windows Phone 7 devices are not compatible) that does not yet support the Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview (excluding specific carrier variants), but support is expected with subsequent updates to the preview builds.[5]

Reception

The Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM was well received but was criticized for not offering an upgrade over earlier devices from the Lumia 5xx series.[6][7]
