Michele Morrow

Michele Morrow (born March 19 1978 in Spokane, Washington) is an American on-air host, actress, writer, and producer.[1]

Career

Morrow received a B.A. degree in drama from the University of Washington in Seattle before moving to Los Angeles, California.

Morrow starred in the 2009 horror movie Basement Jack, written by the American film producer and screenwriter Brian Patrick O'Toole. Co-stars include horror genre queens Tiffany Shepis and Lynn Lowry, as well as the rock musician Billy Morrison of The Cult. Her work in Basement Jack saw her on the front page of Fangoria magazine's online counterpart, with a two part interview titled "Beauty and the Basement".[2] Gorezone magazine had Morrow in a four-page lingerie pictorial and interview.[3] Gorezone later interviewed her on the release of Saw VI about what it means to be a final girl and scream queen.

Morrow has appeared in commercials for both Microsoft and Apple.

Morrow was the first nerd-centric columnist for Zooey Deschanel's female-centric blog, HelloGiggles, which was named among the top 100 websites for females in 2012 by Forbes.com.[4]

In October 2012, Morrow's writing was published in the rebooted horror magazine, Cinefantastique (CFQ), for a zombie special issue. Morrow's article highlighted the most notable zombie video games ever made, along with her top zombie app recommendations.[5]

Beginning in 2012, Morrow hosted the weekly shows App Attack (mobile app reviews) and Chicks With Joysticks (gaming news) on Bite Size TV. She also co-created the show Chaotic Awesome (variety talk show) [6][7] Notable guests on the program include Chris Hardwick, Grant Imahara, Randy Pitchford, Josh Mosquiera, Mikey Neumann, and Justin Willman.

In April 2014, Michele appeared as a host on "Hollywood Goes Green", a 12-hour, Live Earth Day Marathon with Ed Begley, Jr..[8]

During 2014, Morrow hosted several live game industry events for 2k Games at both PAX East (Boston, MA) and PAX Prime (Seattle, WA), as well as Nvidia's Game24 event, a combination of local events worldwide, including Los Angeles, Shanghai, Stockholm, Chicago and elsewhere.[9]

In November, Morrow co-hosted the 2014 BlizzCon Virtual Ticket with Geoff Keighley on DirectTV. The 2-day live broadcast included interviews with game developers, game designers, and executives from Blizzard Entertainment including Mike Morhaime, Chris Metzen, Frank Pearce.

In 2015, Morrow contributed voiceover work to several video games currently in development, and is currently working with Polaris/Maker for a show slated for later this year.

World of Warcraft

Morrow is a guild and raid leader in the popular MMORPG and has appeared several times on World of Warcraft dedicated podcasts.

In 2012, Morrow was honored with an NPC in the newest expansion of World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandaria. "Mei Chele" can be found on The Wandering Isle in a house with her cats Azrael and Samus Aran.[10]

In 2014, Morrow was honored with another NPC in the game: The garrison follower Mychele Morrowsong.[11]

Morrow leads the Nerdist.com Warcraft guild, and can be seen on her show MASSIVE.
