Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria

The Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria (Italian: Città Metropolitana di Reggio Calabria) is a future metropolitan city in the Calabria region, southern Italy. With its capital in Reggio Calabria, it will replace the Province of Reggio Calabria. To be created by the reform of local authorities (Law 142/1990) and then established by the Law 56/2014, its effective establishment of the metropolitan city has however been delayed to 2018.

The Metropolitan City will be headed by the Metropolitan Mayor (Sindaco metropolitano) and by the Metropolitan Council (Consiglio metropolitano).
