Menifee Union School District
Menifee Union School District is a school district located in the newly incorporated City of Menifee, California. The district plans on adding at least two more schools in addition to the ones listed below. The district receiveded international attention in January 2010, when a parent complained a dictionary definition of "oral sex" was too graphic, leading to the near-removal of Merriam-Webster dictionaries from school shelves throughout the district and formation of a committee "to comb the dictionary for potentially graphic words or definitions and issue a report". Despite news reports, no dictionaries were actually removed. [1][2]
