The Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) are awards for manufacturers of medical technology devices.[1] The global competition accepts entries of finished medical devices or medical packaging products. A panel of jurors who are designers, engineers, and clinicians evaluate the entries for their design, engineering, and ergonomic excellence. It is directed by an interdepartmental team of UBM Canon staff.
