Maximum Games (formerly Maximum Family Games) is a publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment software games.[1] Founded in 2009, Maximum Family Games currently publishes video games on all leading platforms.[2] Some titles include: Farming Simulator,[3] Worms Collection, Worms: The Revolution Collection, JASF: Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters, Junior Brain Trainer for Nintendo DS hand-held systems, and Nintendo 3DS titles MYST[4] and Deer Drive Legends.[5]

Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Maximum Family Games also owns subsidiary brand Maximum Racing, under which five Nintendo Wii titles have been published: Crash Car Racer, Drag & Stock Racer, GP Classic Racing, Super Karts and Sprint Cars.

Company Origin

Maximum Games is a privately held California corporation, and was originally founded as "Maximum Family Games" in 2009 by two industry veterans, Christina Seelye and Len Ciciretto. During the 2009 holiday season, the company launched two very successful Junior DS titles, with placement in all USA major retailers. In 2010, the company published 16 new products in the Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and PC formats. In 2010, the company was granted Third Party Publishing status with Nintendo of America and Sony Computer Entertainment America. In 2011, the company was granted the same for Europe with both companies, and ultimately produced more than 20 new titles that year, which included the addition of Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 titles. The company is now a full service publisher, with a warehouse in Sacramento, CA, a full sales and marketing team, and distribution partnerships that serve both North American and European markets.

Company Owners

Christina Seelye is Chief Executive Officer of MG, and has been in consumer technology publishing for nearly 20 years, and has launched over 300 titles into the retail and online channels during the course of her career. In 2001, she founded Elibrium, Inc., a consumer software company which she later sold to Avanquest Software. She remained on as CEO of Avanquest USA until 2007, during which time she grew revenues from $8 million to $65 million, and conducted strategic mergers and acquisitions that established the company as a premier publisher of consumer technology. Christina is also owner of The Rhino Group, which provides channel management and publishing services.

Len Ciciretto is the President of MG, and Len's background in the game industry began in 2000 when he joined Sega of America. He held the position of Group Vice President of North America for all game, toy and PC products, with total sales of more than $1.3 billion. After spending 8 years with Sega he went on to hold titles of Senior Vice President of Sales and VP of Sales and Marketing with other game/toy companies, including Yes! Entertainment, Acclaim Entertainment and BAM! Entertainment. He was also the President of Versus Books and was Vice President with Interactive Entertainment Merchants Association. Len owns and is CEO of Game Solutions and Services, for which he has co-published several games.

Company Relaunch

On May 25, 2012, Maximum Family Games changed its name to Maximum Games[6] to reflect its expanding portfolio.

Previously known as a publisher of children's games, the company felt that Maximum Games better described their broadening audience and the more diverse kinds of games they plan to publish.
