Max Pfister

Max Pfister (born 21 April 1932 in Zürich) is a German Romance studies scholar and linguist.

Together with Wolfgang Schweickard he was one of the initiators of the LEI (Lessico etimologico italiano), which deals with Italian and German research of etymology and dialectology of the Italian language.
