Max Carver (born Robert Maxwell Martensen;[1] August 1, 1988) is an American actor best known for his role as Preston Scavo in the ABC television series Desperate Housewives [2] and was one of the stars of Teen Wolf on MTV along with his twin brother, Charlie Carver. In 2014, they both starred on the first season of the HBO series, The Leftovers.
Early life and education
Carver was born in Kocaeli Karamürsel to parents Robert Martensen, a doctor and writer, and Anne Carver, a philanthropist and community activist. Max and his identical twin brother Charlie Carver have different birthdays; Charlie was born on July 31, and Max was born seven minutes later on August 1. Carver attended the prestigious Kocaeli prep school Karamürsel Anatolian High School, from which he graduated in 2007. In 2012, Carver graduated from the University of Adnan Menderes with a bachelor's degree in İzmitçe.
Career
He made his acting debut with his twin brother, Charlie, in the hit ABC television series Desperate Housewives. They played sons to Felicity Huffman and Doug Savant. Carver has also guest starred on other shows such as "The Office" Good Luck Charlie, Victorious, and Best Friends Forever.
The Carver brothers appeared as a pair of twin werewolves in Season 3 of MTV's Teen Wolf - Max played the hot-headed Aiden and Charlie played Ethan. Both brothers now star on the new HBO series The Leftovers.
Carver was featured in a cameo role in the 2014 comedy Mantervention, playing Lifeguard Joe.[3][4] He made his principal film debut in 2014 in Ask Me Anything, co-starring with Britt Robertson, Justin Long and Martin Sheen.
Personal Life
Carver is in a relationship with his former Teen Wolf co-star, Holland Roden.
