Mauro Poy (born on 2 July 1981 in Rosario, Santa Fe) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Football League 2 club Aris, as a Forward.

Career

He began his football career at Rosario Central as it was born in Rosario; having four appearances for three years he left the team to race in Racing Cordoba who had 46 appearances and 5 goals. In summer 2005 he continued in Godoy Cruz with 68 goals and 11 goals. After relegation the team decided to play on the courts of Europe, namely Greece and Skoda Xanthi signing his contract in the summer of 2007. In 2011–2012 was chosen as third captain of the team and in an interview said he feels like at home to Xanthi. [1]. He is a connoisseur of Greek language. His contract in summer 2010 was renewed until 30 June 2012 but not renewed after the end of the new contract and was released from his former group. In August 2014 he signed for fallen Greek squad Aris F.C.. Poy was a huge success at Aris F.C; just six months after singing he was appointed captain, despite not winning the 3rd division he scored 14 goals and 8 assists.
