Filming
The title used in media coverage was "Untitled Armored Car".[9] Principal photography began on July 7, 2014, in Hazelwood, North Carolina in the Asheville area.[10][11] On July 29, Galifianakis was spotted in prisoners' costume, during the filming in the streets of downtown Asheville, which were transformed.[12] The BB&T Center building, also the location of the production office, was transformed into the "Park Street Citizens Bank", with a Loomis Fargo burgundy truck parked outside of the entrance. The crew also shot the film on the steps of Buncombe County Courthouse, and in front of the Mediterranean Restaurant.[9][12]
Release
The film was previously scheduled to be released on August 19, 2015, which Relativity rescheduled in July 2015 and pushed back to October 9, 2015.[13] The company pushed back the date because it was facing financial crisis.[14] However, the film was then pulled from the October 9 release date.[15] Before being re-scheduled to September 30, 2016.[16]
