Mark Pattison (born December 13, 1961) is a former American football wide receiver who played three seasons in the National Football League for the Los Angeles Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, and New Orleans Saints. He played college football at the University of Washington and was drafted in the seventh round of the 1985 NFL Draft.

College

Pattison was a three-year letterman at wide receiver for Washington from 1982 to 1984 under Coach Don James.[1]

After football

Following his NFL career, Pattison took up mountain climbing. In 2013, he began a goal to climb The Seven Summits on 7 continents. To date, Pattison's successful ascents include Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) in 2013 (19,333'),[2] Mount Elbrus (Russia) in 2014 (18,666'), and Mount Kosciuszko (Australia) in 2015 (7,310'). His next attempt will be to summit Mount Aconcagua (Argentina) 23,000'.

If he completes his goal of climbing all seven, Pattison will become one of only about 350 people who have climbed the highest peaks on all seven continents,[3] and the first NFL player to climb all Seven Summits.

Professional life

In 2013, Mark Pattison accepted a new role as SVP Biz Development Outdoor at Scout Media.[4]
