Mark Jewell
Mark Jewell is an author, coach, speaker and nationally recognized expert focused on energy efficiency. He supports and teaches professionals for organizations such as Honeywell, PG&E, Hawaii Energy and Belimo on overcoming barriers and implementing efficiency projects.[1][2][3][4]
Jewell's experience includes over 30 years in commercial real estate and 20 years in energy efficiency.[5] He is the founder and CEO of Selling Energy and a co-founder of the Efficiency Sales Professional Institute and SF Green Space in San Francisco.[6]
In 2015 his efforts were rewarded by the prestigious Gold Stevie Awards for "Sales Training or Education Leader of the Year.”[7] He received further recognition when the company went on to be listed among Selling Power's 2015 Top 20 Sales Training Companies as well as #1400 on the 2015 Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.[8] It was also listed #16 among Inc.'s fastest-growing Education companies.[9][10]
Jewell is also the author of the Wall Street Bestseller Selling Energy: Inspiring Ideas That Get More Projects Approved!, a series of essays on promoting energy efficiency.[11][12] The book went on to earn accolades from the Axiom Business Book Awards, The International Book Awards and The Reader Views Annual Literary Award.[13][14]
Earlier in his career, Jewell helped the US EPA deploy both the ENERGY STAR® Buildings Program for Commercial Real Estate and the Portfolio Manager® benchmarking tool.[15] He is a graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he specialized in Economics and Finance.[16]
Jewell lives in San Francisco, CA with his wife Rachel Christenson and their two young children.[17]
