In the Senate he was succeeded by Alexander Kops. Since 1 July 2014 he has been member of the European Parliament.[1]
De Graaff studied theology at the Radboud University Nijmegen between 1981 and 1988. Since 1989 he worked as a consultant for IT & Operations.[2]
De Graaff was named as party list leader for the 2014 European Parliament elections. The previous leader of the Party for Freedom in the European Parliament, Laurence Stassen, left the party in March 2014 and the interim-party leader Lucas Hartong promised not to return after the elections after being discontent with the party course.[3]
