Manjari Fadnis is an Indian film actress, who has appeared in Marathi, Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil language films. She is best known for her performance in the 2008 Hindi film Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na.[1]
Career
Manjari Fadnis was first seen on Indian Television on the Second Season of the Indian version of the International Reality show Popstars which was aired on Channel [v] India. She was one of the participants who was one of the final 8. Only 4 made it to form the band Aasma. Manjari Fadnis started her career with Rok Sako To Rok Lo in 2004, but her big break was Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008) as the lead actor's girlfriend. Earlier she was part of the National Film Award-winning Bengali feature film Faltu and also Mumbai Salsa.
In 2008, her debut in Telugu film Siddu From Srikakulam, following which her first Tamil film Muthirai got released. Notably, she had sung a song under the direction of Yuvan Shankar Raja for Muthirai.[2]
In September 2009 she signed to appear in a series of Onida television commercials. Her 2010 releases were the Telugu films Inkosaari and Shubhapradham. She then starred in the Walt Disney-produced superhero film Zokkomon, starring Darsheel Safary in the titular role. In 2011, she also appeared in an ad film for iball brand of pen drives. Her upcoming films are Mr. Fraud, which will mark her Malayalam debut and Wah Taj. She have also acted in a Kannada movie munjaane.[3]
She is making her marathi movie Sarv Mangal Savdhan opposite Raqesh Vashisth .
Personal life
Manjari was born in Mumbai, but grew-up in Pune. She had played various types of roles in various films belonging to different dialects such as Tamil, Bengali, Hindi and Kannada. Besides being an actress, Manjari Fadnis also devotes a portion of her time to modelling Motilal Perls and other jewellery stores in and around A.S Nagar situated in Secunderabad. Manjari belongs to a family where no one is attached to the film industry. Her father used to work in the Indian Army and hence she had to travel a lot throughout the country because of her father’s transferable job. she has not expected to be associated with the film industry, however she debuted into bollywood in 2004.
