Mandalay Bodaw

Mandalay Bodaw nat

Mandalay Bodaw (Burmese: မန္တလေးဘိုးတော်, pronounced: [màɴdəlé bódɔ̀]; lit. Lord Grandfather of Mandalay) is one of the 37 nats in the official pantheon of Burmese nats. Son of a Brahmin, he was killed for not properly supervising Shwe Hpyin Naungdaw and Shwe Hpyin Nyidaw, who were negligent in their duties.[1][2] He is portrayed standing on a pedestal with a sword on his shoulder and a hand raised, pointing his finger.[2]
