Mamoru Shō

In this Okinawan name, the family name is "Shō".

Mamoru Shō (尚 衞 Shō Mamoru, born August 18, 1950) is the current head of the Shō family, the former Ryūkyūan royal family. He is the eldest son of the former leader Hiroshi Shō, and born and raised in Tokyo.

Upon his father's death in 1996, he became head of the family.
