Malanday is a settlement and one of the constituent barangays in the city of Valenzuela, Metro Manila, Philippines.

The namesake of Malanday is said to mean 'a bowl plate' in Filipino.[1]

Festivals

Residents celebrate the fiesta of Sto. Kristo every last Sunday of April.

Landmarks

Known landmarks include the Andres Fernando Elementary School, Malanday Market, Malanday Bus Terminal and the VSCA Cock Fighting Arena.

Calamity

In 2012, Malanday experienced great flooding heavy rains. As of Sunday, about 200 families remained in 13 evacuation centers in the city.[2]
