Magandang Umaga Po is a now-defunct morning show of ABS-CBN from September 1, 1986 up to January 27, 1995. This was the first morning show after the network's Martial Law shutdown. It was later replaced by Alas Singko Y Medya due to the network's reformat of shows.
History
Magandang Umaga Po was first aired on September 1, 1986 where ABS-CBN was relaunch since July 16, they have with the morning host Noli "Kabayan" De Castro and Korina Sanchez. De Castro was replaced by Eagle Riggs in 1989. In 1992, Riggs left when he was off-air, but De Castro returned as a co-host with Sanchez and Erwin Tulfo. Sanchez and De Castro decided to leave the show after it was revealed that it would be replaced and to prepare for the launch of a rumored new morning program. Magandang Umaga Po has aired its final episode on January 27, 1995, after 9 years. It was replaced by the new morning program, Alas Singko Y Medya which was launched on Monday, January 30.
