"Made in the Shade" is a song by southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. The song was recorded in 1974 and was released on the band's third album, Nuthin' Fancy. It was written by Ronnie Van Zant.

Content

The song starts with Ronnie Van Zant saying "Well when I was a young-un they used to teach me to play music like this here...". The song then begins with a classic blues sound, the lyrics refer to an ungrateful girl in a relationship.[1]
