Meleveettil Muhammad Akbar (Malayalam: മേലേവീട്ടില്‍ മുഹമ്മദ് അക്ബര്‍) is an Islamic scholar,[1][2] a religious orator[2] and an expert in comparative religion.[3] He is the founder[4] Director of Niche of Truth,[3][5] an Islamic missionary organization based in Kerala[3] and the editor of Sneha Samvadam magazine published from Kochi, Kerala, India.[4] Niche of Truth has created the first website in Malayalam,[6] about the life of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad.

A graduate in Physics,[4] Akbar is especially distinguished for his scientific and logical approach in analysing and presenting religion. He has authored 38[3] books of which 20[3] are in comparative religion.[3][7][8]
