Luo River (Fujian)
The Luo River, or Luojiang (Chinese: 洛江; pinyin: Luòjiāng; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lo̍k-kang) is a river in Quanzhou Prefecture-level city of Fujian Province, China. It flows in the general southern direction, and forms a long and wide estuary as it enters the Quanzhou Bay of Taiwan Strait. The estuary separates Quanzhou's Luojiang District and Fengze District, on its western shore, from Hui'an County, on its eastern shore.
The Luo River estuary is spanned by the ancient Luoyang Bridge (洛阳桥), as well as by several modern bridges.
Oysters have been traditionally cultivated in the Luo River estuary.[1]
