Lumpkins Stadium

Lumpkins Stadium is a stadium in Waxahachie, Texas. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the Waxahachie Indians.The stadium holds 9,500 people and opened in 1972. The full name of the stadium is Stuart B. Lumpkins stadium dedicated to Stuart B. Lumpkins, a former superintendent of Waxahachie Independent School District, however it is usually referred to as Lumpkins Stadium for short. The stadium was originally built in 1972, but the stadium went through massive state-of-the-art renovations in 2011 that were funded through a city bond. In addition to serving as the home field for the Waxahachie Indians football team, track and field meets are also held there as well Waxahachie Indians soccer and Texas High School Football Playoff games are held here. In addition to that, a local university called SAGU holds its home football games at this stadium.
