Luke David Gambin (born 16 March 1993) is an English footballer of Maltese descent who plays as a midfielder for Barnet.

Career

Gambin was born in Sutton, London, England.[2] He started his career in the youth team of AFC Wimbledon and joined Barnet in the summer of 2010, on a two-year apprenticeship. In November 2011, Gambin was sent on loan to Isthmian Premier Division side Metropolitan Police.[3] He made his debut for the Bees on 28 April 2012, in a 4–0 win over his old club AFC Wimbledon, coming on as a late substitute for Scott McGleish.[4] In November 2012, Gambin joined Hendon on loan. He scored his first goal for Barnet on 9 March 2013 at home to Morecambe.[5]

International career

Gambin is of Maltese descent and joined the Malta squad for training in June 2015. He is currently applying for Maltese citizenship, and if successful he will be eligible to play for Malta.[6]
