Luke Berry (born 12 July 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays for Cambridge United as a central midfielder.

Career

Cambridge United

Born in Cambridge, Berry played for Comberton Crusaders before joining Cambridge United's youth setup before making the step up to the first team squad in July 2009. Luke Berry was and forever will be a Cambridge Legend with his 122 caps for the club at such a young age.

Barnsley

Despite Cambridge's promotion, and signing a new contract with the club, Berry left to join Barnsley just days before his home town club's return to League Two.[3] The move to Barnsley was seen as a step up, given their traditional larger support and their place in the higher League One.

Berry signed a three-year deal with The Tykes,[3] and made his Football League debut in their opening day loss at home to Crawley, playing 77 minutes before being replaced by forward Nana Boakye-Yiadom.[4]

Cambridge United

On 15 June 2015, Berry re-signed for his home club, agreeing to join Cambridge United on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
