Love, Truth and Honesty
"Love, Truth and Honesty" is a song written and recorded by English girl group Bananarama. It was the first single released to promote the group's Greatest Hits Collection in 1988. The song was co-written and produced by the Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW) trio and was the last single Bananarama would write with Stock Aitken Waterman.
It is the only Bananarama track which gives songwriting credit to new member Jacquie O'Sullivan. It was a moderate success in their home country, peaking at number twenty-three in the UK singles chart. It also was a top-forty hit in Australia and New Zealand. "Love, Truth and Honesty" did not fare well in the United States, briefly appearing on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and stalling at number eighty-nine. To date, this is the last Bananarama song to enter the U.S. pop charts.
Music video
The video features the trio performing in front of mirrors and neon lights as a well-groomed man looks on. The three members of the band are shown alternately in elegant evening gowns—something of a departure from their usual look—as well as more casual black outfits. Music video directed by Big TV!
