Lost in Karastan is a black comedy film directed by Ben Hopkins.[1]
Plot
Lost in Karastan[2] is a gentle black comedy about a confused British director who is hired to direct a production in Caucasus region of Europe. The country is led by an eccentric corrupt, benign dictator. Emil will be embarking on one of the wildest journeys of his already diverse career.[3]

Release
Lost in Karastan[4][5] received its UK Premiere[6] as the opening film of the London Comedy Film Festival[7][8](LOCO),[9] on 22 January 2015.[10]
Awards
Award ceremony at Filmfest Hamburg[11] - The 'Hamburg Producers Awards'[12] for the best 'European Cinema Co-production' presented to Daniel Zuta and Vladimer Katcharava.[13] He also won the 'Hamburg Producers Award' in 'German-European Cinematic Productions' at the Hamburg Film Festival in 2014.
Ben Hopkins was nominated for the 'Grand Prix des Amériques' award at the Montréal World Film Festival[14] in 2014.[15]
