Lord Allan Jay Quinto Velasco (born November 9, 1977), also known as "P.A.", is a Filipino lawyer, politician and former Congressman of Marinduque.[4] He also served as Integrated Bar of the Philippines President of Marinduque as well as Provincial Administrator of the province under governor Jose Antonio Carrion. He was defeated in his bid for re-election in 2013 by Regina Ongsiako Reyes, daughter of incumbent Governor Carmencita Reyes. Reyes' victory is currently disputed however as, noted by Velasco, Reyes was a United States citizen during the election and thus ineligible to hold office. Both the Supreme Court and COMELEC have upheld Velasco's protest. Despite this, House Speaker Belmonte has maintained that such a decision to remove Reyes from her seat is up to the House Electoral Tribunal, where Velasco's case to remove her is still pending.
Personal life
He is the eldest son of Presbitero Velasco who is a current Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
