Liz Uy (born as Lizelle Venelli Uy, February 8, 1982) is a Filipina celebrity stylist and fashion editor-at-large.

Education

She graduated from Grace Christian High School, a Chinese school in Manila, Philippines. She has a degree in Hotel Restaurant and institution Management from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

Career

Uy is a Fashion Editor-at-Large of Preview Magazine, a Filipino fashion magazine and Esquire Magazine Philippines. She styles a lot of bankable stars in the country including Kris Aquino, Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis, Toni Gonzaga, Gretchen Barretto and Bianca Gonzalez. She is also set to work with the Phenomenal Internet Sensation, Maine Mendoza for StyLIZed. She started as an editorial assistant in Preview.

She also has shares of endorsements like Creamsilk, Glam Rock Watches and Jing Monis Salon, Globe, Plains and Prints and Magnum Selecta Ice Cream. She is anointed as one of Manila's It Girls along with Solenn Heussaff, Isabelle Daza, Georgina Wilson and Anne Curtis. She recently graced the January 2011 issue cover of Preview Magazine.

She signed an exclusive management contract with Viva Entertainment last February 10 and will soon become a product endorser and host of lifestyle shows.[1]

She will be publishing a book, a style guide for Filipinos à la Nina Garcia.

Personal life

Uy’s parents are both bankers and a very “unassuming” couple, so shy and low-key that they’re quite a contrast to their often-photographed children. She has two equally stylish siblings, Vince Uy, the creative director of Preview Magazine and Laureen Uy (born October 9, 1989), a designer and a fashion blogger and actress. She is close friends with her clients like Kris Aquino, Georgina Wilson, Bianca Gonzalez and Isabelle Daza.
