List of former Kennywood attractions

Like all amusement parks, Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, has removed a number of rides and attractions over the years. The following is a list of those attractions. This list is missing the old mill.

Caterpillar #1		1923	1945	Traver Engineering Company	Built by Harry G. Traver of Beaver Falls, PA, the ride's cars rode on an undulating track, equipped with a large fan under the track. The most significant feature of the attraction was a green, striped tarp that would roll out over the patron-filled cars once the ride reached maximum speed.

Caterpillar #2		1969	1983	Traver Engineering	Built by Harry B. Traver of Beaver Falls, PA, the ride's cars rode on an undulating track, equipped with a large fan under the track. The most significant feature of the attraction was a green, striped tarp that would roll out over the patron-filled cars once the ride reached maximum speed. The ride was taken to Idlewild after its removal and used as parts on their 1947 model.

Brought back

Bayern Kurve

Bayern Kurve is currently here today. It was removed several times over the years. Its first removal was in 1971. The ride's second removal was in 1988 after it returned to a different spot in 1972. Its last removal was in 2004 after it returned a second time in 1994. It was returned in 2009 because of its popularity.

Caterpillar

Caterpillar has returned only once and is not at Kennywood today. It was taken to Idlewild and Soak Zone sometime after the 1983 removal to be used as spare parts for Idlewild's 1947 Caterpillar. It was originally removed in 1945 after the ride opened in 1923.

Ferris Wheel

The classic Ferris Wheel is currently not at Kennywood. In 1927 the ride first opened. It was first removed in 1943. It was also removed in 1958 and 1969. The last removal was in 1999.

Roll-O-Plane

Roll-O-Plane has changed its name with a different seat each time. It first opened in 1950 and has been removed in 1960, 1969, 1985, and in 2003. It has not returned since.

Tilt A Whirl

The ride is currently at its sister park, Idlewild and Soak Zone. It was removed several times over the years. The ride first opened in 1928 and was last removed in 1988.

Whip

The Whip has been moved to a different spot in the park. In 1995, the Whip relocated to Lost Kennywood. They haven't removed or relocated it since.
