List of generating stations in Alberta

This is a list of electrical generating stations in Alberta, Canada.

Alberta produces a large and decreasing[1] share of its electricity through coal. Over the last few years, a booming economy and the deregulation of the electricity market has led to the construction of dozens of new facilitiesprimarily[1] alternatives (cogeneration, waste heat recovery) and renewables (wind, biomass, biogas)and the retirement of a dozen older coal and gas fired units.[1]
