List of cities by number of billionaires

New York maintains its position as the world’s top billionaire city with a population of 103 billionaires in 2014, followed by Moscow (85), Hong Kong (82), London (72) and Beijing (37) which took on the Top 20 Billionaire Cities list.[1] Only 5% of the world’s billionaires are worth more than US$10 billion.[2] There are a total of 2325 living Billionaires in 2014, compared to 2170 in 2013. There were 2039 male and 286 female billionaires in 2014, accounting for 87.7% and 12.3% respectively of the world’s total billionaires wealth of US$7.3 trillion.[3] 34% of world's billionaires are based in these top 20 regional hubs.

Sunday Times Rich List

According to the Sunday Times Rich List 2015, London has more billionaires than any other city in the world.[4]

Forbes Magazine

In 2015, Forbes Magazine listed New York City with the most number of billionaires at 78 persons, followed by Moscow at 68 and Hong Kong at third place at 64 total billionaires.[5] The report also lists the US as having more billionaires per capita than any other country in the world.
