List of cat video games

This is an incomplete list of video games which strongly feature cats, other felines and anthropomorphic feline characters. This includes games where a player character is a feline, or where a feline is the primary antagonist, as well as games which feature felines as the primary enemy variant. Video games which have a cat theme not directly related to individual characters are also included.

Alley Cat 1983 Atari 8-bit, MS-DOS Players must guide the titular cat to a female cat which resides in an apartment, avoiding obstacles and completing mini-games on the way.[1]
Asameshimae Nyanko 1994 Super Famicom This game was only released in Japan.
Catastrophe mobile runner game 2013 iOS, Android Players run and jump a real world cat through a cartoon world. The cat shoots rats with grenades strapped to their back.[2]
Blinx: The Time Sweeper 2002 Xbox 3D platform game in which players control the titular anthropomorphic orange cat. Blinx is the janitor of the Time Factory, the place where time is created and repaired, he is tasked with defeating monsters which are attempting to control the flow of time.[3]
Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space 2004 Xbox In this sequel Blinx and his time-sweeping cat colleagues are set against a gang of pigs who wish to manipulate time for their own purposes. Players can also control the pigs and use their unique time manipulation abilities.[4]
Bloody Roar series 1997–2003 Arcade, GameCube, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox Uriko the Half Beast, a zoanthrope from this fighting game series, can morph into a cat
Breath of fire series 1993–2008 Misc. Katt, Rei, Cray, and Lin.
Bubsy series 1993–1996 Atari Jaguar, Mega Drive, PlayStation, SNES, Windows A series of four platform games starring an athropomorphic bobcat.[5]
Catlateral Damage 2013-present Windows, Mac, Linux A first-person cat simulator where the player controls a domestic house cat that knocks his/her owner's possessions onto the floor.
Claw 1997 Windows Platform game starring Captain Claw, an anthropomorphic cat pirate, who must defeat the Cocker Spaniard Armada.[6]
Darkstalkers 1994–1997 Arcade, Dreamcast, PlayStation, PSP, Sega Saturn Felicia, catgirl character from the series.
EverQuest series 1999–present Mac OS X, Windows The Vah Shir, feline humanoids, are one of the player races.
Felix the Cat 1992 Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy
Final Fantasy VII 1997 PlayStation, PSN, Windows Cait Sith is based on Cait Sidhe from Celtic mythology. Red XIII.

Flicky 1984-1991 Arcade, Cloud, FM-7, MSX, PC-8001 Sharp X1 SG-1000, Sega Genesis Player controls a bird trying to save her babies from houses cats.
Fur Fighters 2000 Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, Windows Third-person shooter, the player can control one of six animal characters, one of which is Juliette the cat. Each character has different abilities, all of which must be used to locate the kidnapped children on each of the game's levels.[7]

The objective is to recover 10 pieces of stolen loot from each house, which have been stolen by Goro the cat and the Meowky gang.[9]

Mouse Trap 1981 Arcade, Atari 2600, ColecoVision, Intellivision A maze game and clone of Pac-Man in which players guide a mouse through mazes in order to eat cheese. The mazes are patrolled by cats which will kill the player's mouse on contact, unless the mouse first eats a bone and turns into a cat-biting dog.[10]

Nyan Cat Adventure 2011 Xbox Live Indie Games Nyan Cat flies, jumps, gravitates and toasters his way to adventure in the year 20XX. Produced by 21st Street Games, not to be confused with Techno Kitten Adventure.
Petz series 1995–present Pet cats are the subject of several games in the Petz series.

Rockin' Kats 1991 NES Platform game in which players control a cat named Willy and must rescue Jill, his girlfriend, from the crime boss Mugsy.[11]

Sonic Adventure 1999 Dreamcast Big the Cat is introduced into the Sonic series and features as a playable character with his own levels and fishing minigame.

Techno Kitten Adventure 2011 Android, iOS, Xbox Live Indie Games, Windows Phone Side-scrolling video game where players control a kitten by adjusting its height in order to avoid crashing into the floor, ceiling or obstacles.[12]

Tom and Jerry 1991-present
Wizball 1987 Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, MS-DOS, ZX Spectrum An action game. A wizard's homeworld is drained of color, so he takes control of the titular Wizball in order to defeat enemies and collect droplets of color.[13] The wizard's magical cat, Nifta, controls a smaller craft called the Catelite. This craft collects the droplets as they fall.[13][14]
