Tosh.0 premiered on Comedy Central on June 4, 2009, starring Daniel Tosh. It focuses on Internet viral videos, sharing a set-up similar to that of Web Soup.[1] The first season proved a surprise hit, averaging on almost a million viewers per episode. Tosh.0 became the most watched cable network television show in its time slot among 18-35-year-old males, a sought after advertising demographic.[2][3]
