Notes

  1. 1 2 UTRGV was founded in 2013 and began full operation in 2015, following the merger of two University of Texas System campuses—the NCAA Division I University of Texas–Pan American (UTPA) and the University of Texas at Brownsville, a member of the NAIA. The former UTPA athletic program became the UTRGV program after the merger; UTRGV is therefore credited with all of UTPA's appearances in the NCAA tournament.
