List of Marilyns in Wales
This is a list of the 158 Marilyns in Wales. It was originally published in The Relative Hills of Britain by Alan Dawson,[1] and is one of several popular lists of hills that include Wales.
In the parent column, the prominence parent is used, as opposed to any other definition of 'parent'. The prominence parent of peak A can be found by dividing the island or region in question into territories, by tracing the runoff from the key col of every peak that is higher than peak A. The parent is the peak whose territory peak A resides in.
Note; In these tables H stands for height and RH stands for relative height. All measurements are in metres.

Notes
^1 Mynydd Rhyd ddu, Craig y Castell, Disgwylfa Fawr, Cefn Cenarth, Carn Gafallt, Mynydd Dinas and Mynydd y Cwm have all been discovered to be Marilyns since the publication of The Relative Hills of Britain and are therefore not listed in the book.[2]
^2 Traditionally, the top of Maen Du (674 m at SH823152) was regarded as Maesglase's summit. However, more recent surveys suggest that the top of Craig Rhiw-erch (c 676 m at SH817150, some 600 m to the west) is higher.[3]
^3 Brandy Hill and Middleton Hill both have a height of 205 m and are separated by a c 40 m drop. They are collectively separated from Foel Cwmcerwyn (their parent) by a 151 m drop making one of them a Marilyn. However, without more accurate heights, it is impossible to say which is the Marilyn, making them an example of a twin peak.
^4 The summit of the Black Mountain lies very close to, if not precisely on, the English–Welsh border. It is sometimes therefore included on the English list too; however recent convention is to regard it as solely in Wales.[2]
