List of Indian states by tiger and elephant population

Bengal Tiger and Indian Elephant are endangered species which are protected by Project Tiger and Project Elephant programmes run by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India.[1][2][3] The tiger numbers are of animals aged above 1.5 years as of of 2014 and the elephant numbers are as of 2005.[4][5][6][7]
